"Fugitive machine"

Films: The Vindicator (1986)

Alias: Carl Lehman, Project Frankenstein

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized area/Underground

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: You may think that this cybernetically-enhanced man is either a knock-off of Robocop or the Terminator. In all honesty, take your pick.

History: Carl Lehman was a scientist on the cusp of crafting super advanced space suits for the morally dubious ARC corporation. But ARC's CEO Alex Whyte was more interested in developing the Rage Program, which would make people unstoppable killing machines until their target was eliminated. Carl grew suspicious, and in return Alex set up his explosive demise. They then proceeded to experiment on his body, hoping to make a killer cyborg. Only a short circuit revives Carl, and he escapes. But the Rage Program prevents him from getting too close to people, so now he's facing a struggle between what makes him man and what makes him machine.

Notable Kills: Uses an underground gas line to burn up his pursuers.

Final Fate: After being on the run for so long, Carl manages to reprogram himself so that he stops flying into rages, and defeats similar cyborgs before his life support finally expires. He is remembered as a hero by his family and friends, with his son being named after him and his old body being put on display, even if some liberties are taken with his story.

Powers/Abilities: Nigh-invulnerability.

Weakness: Can only function for so long before the stress takes out his life support functions.

Scariness Factor: 3-While it is an intimidating sight to be cornered by an unwillingly homicidal robot, Carl only attacks if provoked. And besides, he was a good person deep inside, and once he got over the Rage, he was firmly on our side until his sacrifice.

Trivia: -The only DVD release known to man is from Brazil, under the title "Roboman".

-In spite of this film's obscurity, Stan Winston was hired to do the effects.

Even he's aware of how much this is going to blow.

It's a feat that the material used to make your "costume" didn't catch fire.

"MEDIOCRE!"
Seems normal to me.

"I would suggest cleaning that up."

A boy and his knock-off.
